Who We Treat
Newport Institute treats young adults ages 18–35 (depending on location), providing comprehensive, evidence-based care with ongoing family involvement, as well as academic and life skills programming to keep young people on track with their life and career goals. Using the same proven clinical model as our Newport Academy treatment program for teens, Newport Institute offers a full continuum of care, including Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs, residential treatment, and continuing care. Our robust Alumni program helps young adults stay connected and supported after treatment.

Our Young Adult Programs at Newport Institute
Residential
Research finds that gender-responsive residential environments provide the most effective mental health, depression, anxiety, and substance use treatment. Each young adult’s individualized residential treatment program incorporates evidence-based clinical, experiential, and academic/life skills elements.
Outpatient
Patients enrolled in our outpatient mental health services programs have access to world-class expert substance use and behavioral health treatment specialists who work together to tailor treatment to reach individualized goals.
Alumni Program
Our continuing care includes a robust alumni program, with support groups, regional meet-ups, and ongoing activities for alumni and families. Through Newport Institute’s Alumni app, young adults and families can stay connected with Newport and with one another.
