Newport Institute’s Virginia residential program for young adults is designed for young women ages 18–35 who are struggling with mental health challenges, relationship difficulties, and/or failure to launch. Our Specialized OCD Treatment Program in Virginia

Our Virginia residential treatment centers for young adult women include a specialized OCD program that provides comprehensive care for obsessive-compulsive disorder. Each client’s treatment plan for OCD includes:

  • 4.5 hours daily of Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy—the gold standard of care for OCD—delivered in group and individual sessions, in addition to exposure homework
  • In-depth assessments, ongoing psychiatric care and medication management
  • Attachment-Based Family Therapy to strengthen family trust and connection, and address the family accommodation behaviors that often occur with OCD
  • Experiential activities, such as art and music therapy, outdoor Adventure Therapy, and yoga and meditation (depending on location)
  • Life skills training and career development to keep patients on track with their educational and career goals while receiving the treatment they need
