Young Adult Mental Health Quiz
About This Self-Assessment
What this quiz does: This quick check helps you notice patterns that may point to anxiety, depression, substance use, or related concerns in your daily life. It’s meant to spark insight and guide next steps—not to diagnose.
Who it’s for: Young adults ages 18–35.
Time: ~2–3 minutes.
What you’ll get:
- A simple snapshot of current warning signs
- Suggestions for what to do next (such as getting a professional assessment or exploring treatment)
- Resources for immediate help if safety is a concern
How to use your results
- Few or no concerns: Keep an eye on changes. Support healthy sleep, nutrition, movement, and screen-time limits.
- Some concerns: Consider a professional screening or parent consult to get tailored guidance.
- Many concerns / rapid changes: Schedule a comprehensive assessment. If you’re worried about safety, seek help now (see crisis support below).
Important note
Quizzes screen for possible concerns, but only a clinician can provide a diagnosis after a full assessment. For a brief, research-backed screeners you can also use alongside this quiz, see: PHQ-A for depression, GAD-7 for anxiety, OCI-4 for OCD symptoms, and CRAFFT for substance use (adolescent)
