Ever since she can remember, Tearney has wanted to help others. She chose to be a BSN nurse rather than a doctor because she wanted to have more time with patients. After succumbing to burnout as a night shift ER nurse, Tearney found Newport and began what she calls her “dream career,” helping people on a deeper level with their overall wellness. “I have never had a position that I was more proud of or felt more purpose doing,” she says. “I am part of a phenomenal team that truly helps create life change for those we serve.”
Tearney was a staff nurse with Newport in 2016 but left the position when her family moved from the area. After returning a few years later, she rejoined the Newport team in January 2020. Her work experience also includes positions as staff nurse at High Desert Medical Group in Lancaster, California; ER nurse at Chino Valley Medical Center; and Nurse Manager at Corona Outpatient Surgicenter. Tearney is certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.
