Suzy knew from a young age that she wanted to work with others in a helping capacity. She recognizes the importance of honoring each client’s story, and finds motivation in witnessing the healing journeys of her young adult patients. “My clients and their families inspire me every day with their courage and willingness to face their struggles and transform their lives,” she says.
A Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Suzy has worked extensively with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, grief and loss, substance dependence, and eating disorders. She also specializes in treating clients struggling with shame, guilt, sexual identity issues, and life transitions. Suzy is trained in Attachment-Based Family Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and has taken numerous workshops on the treatment of eating disorders. She has worked with a wide variety of demographics, including college students at the Vanguard University Counseling Center; children, teens, and adults in a private practice setting; an elderly population at College Hospital’s partial hospitalization program; and high school and elementary school students as a mental health counselor.
