
Dana M. Escobedo, RADT-1
Residential Supervisor
Dana Escobedo joined the Newport team in 2017, and has eight years of experience in the mental healthcare field. Her personal story of recovery from mental health and substance abuse disorders inspired her to support others’ on their own healing journeys.
Dana draws on her strengths of patience, compassion, and empathy in working with the young adults in her care. “Being able to support people during a difficult time in their life can make a huge difference,” she says. “It is the ultimate gift to see someone I have helped continue to strive and succeed.”
Experience
Dana’s previous positions include overnight supervisor at New Directions for Women in Costa Mesa, California, and care coordinator at Phoenix House, serving individuals, families, and communities affected by substance abuse. She has specialized training in crisis intervention and working with clients with eating disorders.
