Carly has extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, as well as EFT and pre-marital counseling. “Relationships have the power to both harm and heal, especially when stressors arise,” she says. “There were many times in my life that I didn’t feel heard or understood, which is why I want to offer that to others—a relationship where they feel both heard and understood.”
As an integrated behavioral health provider at UC San Diego Health, Carly worked directly with primary care physicians to treat the whole patient, both mind and body. At Safe Haven Relationship Counseling Center, she treated children, teens, and couples in a private practice setting. Carly also volunteered with EQUIP Equine Therapy, helping children with Autism Spectrum Disorders learn social skills and emotion regulation through the therapeutic process of bonding with a horse.
