Briana Obien
Learning Lab Instructor
A dedicated and compassionate teaching professional, Briana Obien works with young adults in Newport Institute’s Learning Lab at our Southern California location, providing strengths-based life skills mentorship and educational instruction. She joined the Newport team in early 2020 as a Care Coordinator and was quickly promoted to her current role.
Briana says those she serves are her biggest influences. “Their strength and courage inspire me to strive for progress, not perfection. I value the journey in helping others discover the power of grace and reveal their authentic truth, so they may unravel their best selves.”
Experience
Before joining the Newport team, Briana was an instructional assistant, mentor, tutor, and job coach for the Northern Suburban Special Education District in Illinois, and also worked with residents of a homeless shelter for women and children run by WINGS Program, Inc., in Palatine, Illinois.
